Galaxy Classics is made for listeners who want to hear beyond the obvious. Every show moves between celebrated floorfillers and the records that deserve another night in the spotlight.
Hosted by
John's love for disco and radio started in the early eighties. He joined Discotheater Galaxy in Den Bosch in 1980, first as a light jockey and later as a DJ. By 1984, he was a resident behind the Galaxy turntables.
He went on to play clubs and national roadshows, and worked in radio in the Netherlands and Belgium. Since 2012, John has organised the annual Galaxy Classics Party and now brings that same knowledge, energy and love for the dancefloor to every Thursday night broadcast.

Every Thursday, Charly blends disco, soul, funk, boogie and dance classics into more than fifteen minutes of pure mixing craft. His selections move between major classics, forgotten gems and long versions, always with timing, energy and respect for the original groove.
Every week, DJ Sies gives an old disco record new life with an exclusive rework. The original character stays intact while the track is rebuilt for today's dancefloor.

Johan began his musical journey in 1983, inspired by disco, the Soulshow and Ben Liebrand. He brings years of experience as a DJ, mix-DJ and radio maker to each week's selection.
